Trekking Holidays
With our specialist knowledge and network of local guides you will be taking a trekking holiday in one of the most beautiful and undiscovered places on the planet.
When you go on one of our trekking holidays, you will be in a small group of between 4 and 12 people. You will be looked after by one of our tour leaders from Britain and our local crew including a guide and a proper cook who will prepare you delicious wholesome food. We will carry your heavy luggage from day to day so that you will only carry a small rucksack. En route we will either setup camp or stay with local people and experience their hospitality and culture. We will cross stunning landscapes and visit fascinating sights.
All our trekking holidays are graded according to the type of terrain, altitude and your fitness level.

Trekking Holidays - Iran: Highlands of Talesh
June-October

Talesh is an area in north western Iran sandwiched between the Caspian Sea and Alborz Mountains. This is where the original Persians first settled thousands of years ago. We cross some of the most stunning landscape in Iran, rice paddies, orchards, deciduous forests, flower strewn meadows, verdant valleys and pretty hamlets.
Trekking Holidays - Iran: Valleys of the Assassins
August-September

We explore the heartland of the mysterious 11th century cult movement, the Assassins, whose power spread as far as Jerusalem and their ancient fortress was visited by Marco Polo. We also trace the footsteps of the British explorer, Freya Stark, who travelled to these parts in the 1930s.

Trekking Holidays - Iran: Legends of Damavand
July-October

Iran's highest mountain, Damavand, is steeped in Persian history and mythology. We trek around this dormant volcanic mountain with its rich mix of flora, fauna, history, anthropology and geology. There is an option to climb the 5671m, 18,600ft peak of Damavand.

Named after the 17th century king of Iran, who not only changed the social, economic and religious landscape or his country, but was also a consumate walker. He once famously walked 965km from Isfahan to Mashad with bare feet. This trip links 2 of Iran's foremost historic cities - Isfahan & Shiraz - via the mountains and valleys of the Zagros Range.

Trekking Holidays - Iran: Kavir Desert Caravan
November-June

Underground aquaducts, ancient oaises, pre-historic fossils, distinctive achitecture, decent mountains and dune fields, the Kavir is not the typical barren desert. We trek the Kavir Desert of central Iran in caravan style, camel train and all, exploring some of its best hidden features.

Trekking Holidays - Georgia: Tusheti Highlands
July-September

First inhabited by pagan Georgians, who took refuge here druing their 4th century rebellion against Christianisation and famous for its fortified towers, the Tusheti region lies on the northern slopes of the Caucasus Mountains. The people are mostly sheep herders who move up to these highlands in the summer to feed their livestock on the lush grass.
