Leaders - Trekking and Mountain Biking
We are always on the lookout for top quality people to work with our groups overseas as trekking, mountain biking tour leaders.Although first aid qualifications are vital and relevant outdoor qualifications such as those certified by the UK Mountain Leader Training Board are useful, the most important qualities as far as we are concerned are a genuine interest in the outdoors, extensive personal travel experience and the right attitude.
We look for men and women who are keen, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, personable, sympathetic, decisive, diplomatic, well-organised, sensitive to other people's needs, good at trouble-shooting, with an outgoing personality and a positive approach tolife and interested to provide the best travel experience possible for our clients.
All KOOTCH leaders are employed on a freelance basis. Most of our regular leaders combine working for us with other jobs, or may only lead 1 or 2 trips a year, whilst others spend extended periods of time working for us abroad.

- Your personal travel experience - please list country by country with dates.
- Your sports skills - are you a trekker, rock climber, mountaineer or mountain biker?
- Your personal experience of any trekking/climbing/biking trips overseas - with dates and an indication of who you travelled with.
- Any previous experience you have had of leading treks, or guiding mountaineering or biking trips.
- Your qualifications (Outdoor and Academic).
- Any languages you speak.
- Any other previous work experience.
