Flights
All our tours are land only. This means that the tour price does not include the flight. So you must book your own flight. This gives you more flexibility when planning your holiday. For example you may want to spend a few more days in the country and visit some of Iran's historically and architecturally significant cities, like Isfahan, Yazd and Shiraz. Iran is an excellent place for independent travel. There are good roads, good hotels and at least 2 internal airlines. Of course, we could organise any extensions for you, as longs you let us know in advance. Some people may also choose to get to Iran overland, by driving through Turkey. Booking your own flight is usually a more cost effective way of travelling too, by taking advantage of any special offers from the airlines.

Visas
You need a visa to travel to Iran unless you are a national of one these countries: Croatia, Turkey, Bosnia-Herzegovina and Saudi Arabia.
Although the application process takes about 2-3 weeks, we recommend that you apply for a visa as soon as possible.
There are two ways of applying for an Iranian visa. You can apply in person to the Iranian consular offices. But we recommend that you use a visa agent in Iran who, for a small fee, will apply directly to the Foreign Ministry in Tehran. Once your application has been approved they will send you an approval letter which you take to your local Iranian consulate and get your visa. The process is very straight forward and it can save you a lot of time and effort.
